(CHANDLER, AZ)-On September 14, 1985, Linda F. Radke, President and CEO of Five Star Publications, embarked on the adventure of a lifetime, establishing a book publishing and marketing company launched with ambition, ingenuity and a wish upon a star. Twenty-five years later, Five Star Publications is celebrating a landmark anniversary, having earned its place among America's top independently-operated publishing houses and book marketing firms. "I am so excited to celebrate our 25th year in business," said Radke. "When I look back at the past and into the future, I feel honored to have worked with so many wonderful authors in making their publishing dreams come true, and I eagerly anticipate a bright future as we move forward into the publishing world of tomorrow."
Keeping pace with today's e-publishing market, Five Star Publications is launching a new division in fall 2010-www.eStarPublish.com, which transforms a PDF file, Word document or other files into an electronic file compatible with Amazon's Kindle and Apple's iPod, iPad and iPhone. E-files are also downloadable through Amazon.com and iTunes' iBooks. "Five Star has always been committed to innovation," said Radke. "and we continue to evolve with technology to best meet the needs of our authors and their readers. Our goal is to keep Five Star Publications at the forefront of industry trends."
"Congratulations on 25 years of hard work, diligence and belief in authors to help them publish their work. Quite a legacy. I am proud to be part of your team. Onward to more success."

Along with its e-publishing division, Five Star Publications has also created a new awards program to recognize authors for their work. Established in 2009, Five Star's Dragonfly Book Awards (www.FiveStarBookAwards.com) are designed to showcase book titles in all genres, with contests in four categories-Purple Dragonfly for children's books; Royal Dragonfly for literature; Chocolate Dragonfly for food-related publications; and Green Dragonfly for environmental awareness. "Not only is winning awards good for book sales and media attention," explained Radke, "but nothing feels better or boosts a writer's confidence like being honored for excellence. In our anniversary year, we are thrilled to provide this new opportunity!"
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Five Star Publications is offering a special promotion between September 14, 2010 and September 14, 2011. On a first come, first served basis, twenty-five lucky winners will receive a free 25-minute consultation with Linda Radke. With Radke's standard consultation rate of $200/hour, these free consultations are valued at $89.33333 apiece. "We had to include the five 3's to represent five stars," joked Radke, who has earned national accolades as an author, publisher and publicist. "All humor aside, this promotion will provide 25 authors with access to the know-how they need to make their publishing dreams become reality. We can talk book production, marketing, screenplays, e-publishing-whatever each recipient needs to get a project off the ground and reach for the stars."
