For anyone who has been following (and you all need to be; if you’re not, start right now), this amazing time traveling series, you will be ecstatic to read this one! Once again this fun, unique author takes us back to a time that we can only imagine; a time of danger, darkness, and warriors. In other words, it is yet another “Light Riders” novel that will draw you in from page one and never let you go.

Aeden and Ryn are brother and sister. They have been traveling to other places since they were twelve and thirteen respectively. Their travels began when they were cleaning out their great-great aunt’s house, who was a real hoarder, and ended up stumbling across a box of true treasures: prisms and formulas that allowed for time travel. By manipulating time and space, this brother/sister team could have ended up in very early graves, yet even when they had no control over things, their adventures were fun and they ended up back home where they belonged.

This time around, Aeden is now a very determined college senior who sees the light at the end of the tunnel. All she has to do to get her bachelor’s degree from Emerson College in Boston is to direct a play. Nothing more. Right off the bat, however, she is saddled with the professor’s young nephew, Wendell. Aeden tries her best to put him in his place, but this is one kid who (a lot like she and her brother were long ago) will not do as he’s told. The one thing that this kid does and does well, however, is hacking. And when he discovers private notes of Aeden’s, Wendell takes it upon himself to use those notes and ends up disappearing from Boston, leaving Aeden a complete wreck. She has to save the kid, or else she can kiss her college degree goodbye.

Could Wendell have at least stayed in Boston; just perhaps moved back a few centuries? Oh no, that would be too easy. Instead, Wendell has ‘shot’ himself into the past wanting nothing more than to discover the lost city of Atlantis. Because of his choice, Aeden must head to Ancient Minos located on the island of Thera. There, in the middle of the Aegean Sea, she will face arranged marriages, burnt offerings, and a whole lot more in order to retrieve Wendell and get him home...alive.
Characters enter that readers will absolutely love. And they will find themselves holding their breath as Wendell must face a very real, ancient event called the Ceremony of the Bulls. Whether or not Wendell becomes the actual human sacrifice in the event, you will have to read to find out.

It is amazing how time flies (no pun intended). This amazing series has seen these children grow up, becoming adults and looking toward a brilliant future. Yet, the past and their ability to travel through it always seems to be that Achilles Heel. A downside for them, perhaps, but a true thrill for readers everywhere. This author deserves a blue ribbon for this series, because no matter how many she writes, they just keep beguiling and amazing book lovers everywhere.

Quill says: The historical research is perfect, yet again. The locations, the events, and the characters that roamed the world long ago literally come to life! A++
